Sequential work
Below you will find a small, but growing collection of my sequential work. My experience in the film industry has given me some insight into moving the camera and trying different angles. It is my goal to push the storytelling through these "camera" moves the way a director and editor would control the pacing of a film.
"La Mer"
A self authored story for "Nothing Can Stop Me Now: Stories Inspired by Nine Inch Nails" published by JJ Comics and Spazdog Press. The song is mostly instrumental, and so I really wanted to push my visual storytelling on this by doing a silent story.
"Zombies vs. Cheerleaders"
This is the first story of Monica Hurst, Agent of C.H.E.E.R., written by Eric Esquivel for Zombies vs. Cheerleaders Vol. 2 Issue 2.
"Rain"
Rain is a story about revenge and freedom written by Canadian author Christopher Bernard. We are still in the developmental phase of this story but I've been cleared to show these pages here. Look for more coming soon.
"It Floats on the Air"
These are the first five pages to a self authored story set in the world of the Planet of the Apes. It begins immediately after Zira, Cornelius and Taylor discuss Taylor's origins, and the possibility of flight. Much of the remainder of the story takes place during the second film, Beneath the Planet of the Apes. This is the first part of a pitch I'm preparing to BOOM! in collaboration with Moonstone Comics writer Eric M. Esquivel.
